A little about me...

Contemporary and Pop Function band

Welcome to Dina Bradley, Essex Vocal and Performance Coaching. I am a vocals and Performance Coach based in Essex with over 20 years of professional experience in the Musical Theatre industry, in shows such as; Les Miserables, Oliver, The Goodbye Girl, High School Musical 2, Hairspray and Sister Act. My own vocal training began classically, furthering my studies at The Mountview Academy of Performing Arts in London with Singing Teaching training completed at BAST. Over the years I have taken on lead and supporting roles in both West End and Number 1 UK tours with recording experience including original UK cast recordings and contemporary, pop work.

For some, looking to take singing lessons is the next step in enhancing their musical career but for others it may be the road to building confidence and simply finding a small window of time every week to let loose and flex those vocal cords! Whichever it is, I strive to offer a safe, relaxed environment within which to explore your voice, develop and enjoy singing. With such varied training and performance experience myself, I can help you understand the necessary anatomy and physics of your voice and how best to apply it in order to achieve your goals.
I'm extremely passionate about the voice, but equally how we express emotion through song. A greater understanding of how to achieve a vocal 'style' combined with sincere connection to the lyrics will actually enhance tone and resonance, as well as your overall performance. This is true not only in Musical Theatre, but in all music. So after an initial vocal assessment, our lessons will begin with a gentle warm up, followed by tailor made exercises, finishing by applying newly discovered techniques to a song of your choice, exploring both vocal and performance aspects. Helping you to produce a healthy, balanced sound is at the heart of all my coaching.
For students looking to enter the industry or performers already within, I offer audition and repertoire coaching focusing on vocal technique, character and song interpretation. With first-hand experience, I can help you channel your nerves and give you guidance regarding what to expect and what best to prepare.

Above all else - singing and performing should be fun! So whether you are a hobbyist, professional, an encouraging parent or perhaps simply working towards a specific event - I would love to work with you.
